These are recorded maximum ages of some commonly kept bird species.

Several of the above species have been known, anecdotally, to live longer than the above

recorded ages.

Some species, such as mutation budgerigars and cockatiels, may not live to the recorded

ages as inbreeding has lead to poor natural immunity and inherited disorders.

Many household birds can live to the above ages with simple preventative care and annual

health checks by an avian veterinarian.
